  • On the Enduring Appeal of ‘Die Hard’ – a fun read which can be used for some thoughtful questions. On my mind is the idea of an everyman, occasional hero. Such a hero has political implications. • How to Stop the Bullies – for me, the most interesting part regarded the development of a sort of anti-bullying software. Something that can see comments that might be bullying and flag them. This depends on an assumption that bullying is actually very predictable, and there seems to be a lot to that.
  • Goodbye, Mr. Nakashima – an account of how we attach to our home in the most literal sense.
  • LeBron James Threatens to End His Pregame Dunking – just scroll down to see video of his dunk. “Awesome” doesn’t do it justice.
  • Morten Lauridsen, “Sure on this shining night” – no comment necessary.
