Spring Break

On campus right now are all of us who don’t have a life – grad students getting ready for a conference, business students who have classes and are doing group work, and the minimum of staff needed to keep this place running. And me, of course – not sure what category to place myself in.

There aren’t many of us.

It feels dead for the most part but that isn’t a bad thing. It’s nice and quiet and when things happen, they matter. Today choir rehearsed for two and a half hours and it was an alumni group: it was an awful lot of fun working with disciplined, talented singers.

Given how loud this place was, with kids jumping off the walls earlier, I wonder if I’ll get spoiled by this week.
