Place (a poem)

For Amy and Charlotte, composed at Northern Lights Espresso Bar in Scranton, PA.

In motion emerges
time and space.
At rest convergence
makes both possible.
And one wonders
about place,
which is merely when things stop.
And whether we are actually stopping,
or seeking to move
again.

  1. nice use of conflict; rest versus motion, or though versus no thought.
What is “place” after all? Just where we stop to wait until we move? or where we come to to rest? Very interesting.
